Online safety

Report content and complaints

Last updated

Use this page to report content on LADX that you think is illegal or breaks our rules, to appeal a decision we made, or to complain about how we handle online safety. Anyone can report, with or without an account.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 in the UK, 112 in the European Union, or your local emergency number, before anything else.

What you can report

Forum threads and replies, shared chats and shared documents: anything on LADX that a user wrote and other people can see. Every forum post and shared page has a Report link that fills in the form below for you.

For child sexual abuse material, do not copy, save or send the material itself, not even to us. Report the link here and also to the Internet Watch Foundation.

What happens next

  1. If you give an email address, we confirm we have your report and give you a reference.
  2. A person, not an automated system, reviews it within two working days, and sooner for anything that puts someone at risk.
  3. Content we confirm is illegal is taken down as soon as we confirm it. Content that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy is removed too, and we may act against the account that posted it.
  4. We tell you what we decided and why, if you gave an email address. We tell the person whose content it was what we did, why, and how to appeal, without telling them who reported it.

We report child sexual abuse material to the National Crime Agency, and suspected offences that threaten someone's life or safety to the police.

Appeals and complaints

If your content was removed or your account restricted, or you disagree with what we decided about your report, choose "Appeal a decision" in the form, or reply to our email. The same route takes complaints about how we are meeting our online safety duties. We acknowledge appeals and complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within ten. Where possible a different person reviews the decision, and if we got it wrong we put it right, including restoring content.

If you think content on LADX infringes your copyright or trade mark, choose that option in the form, identify the work or mark that is yours, and tell us where the infringing content is.
