1. Open the lab

Open the VPLC lab at ladx.ai/vplc/lab. Nothing is installed and nothing is sent anywhere: the controller and the process both run in the page.

2. Choose a process and a controller

Choose a process, for example the traffic light junction. The lab picks the smallest controller that has the I/O for it. A bigger one works too; a smaller one is refused at download, with the reason.

3. Run the reference

The reference solution downloads and runs. Watch the objectives: each is judged as the process runs, and a fail is final.

4. Switch to Structured Text

Choose Structured Text. The editor shows the reference in ST, with the I/O declared at the addresses the process is wired to. Press Starter for the same I/O and an empty program.

5. Write and download

The editor checks the program as you type and lists errors with their line. Download compiles it on the controller; a program that does not fit is refused and the old one stays. Press RUN.

6. Watch, modify, force

The watch table shows every variable live; click a value to write it once. Under I/O and forcing, force an input to test a branch the process will not reach on its own, and watch the MAINT lamp. Release every force when you are done.

7. Share it

Copy link puts the whole program in a link. Anyone who opens it gets the program in the editor, ready to download.
